Did you read the Autobiography of Malcolm X? Do you remember Malcolm describing Harlem scene in Creole Bill's speakeasy? Bill is from Louisiana and according to Malcolm makes some of the best gumbo he has ever had and hard drinks which he serves to an integrated clientele.
