George Washington Carver was truly the Greatest of All Time (GOAT) when it came to regenerative agriculture related to growing food. During his 33 years at Tuskegee Institute, no one contributed more to helping farmers grow better food and make more money - especially African American farmers who faced huge challenges in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Carver's main goal was simple but powerful: help people farm better, eat better, and have enough extra food to barter or sell. Black farmers learned organic and regenerative growing techniques directly from him. Carver taught methods that are still popular today - composting, crop rotation, and other organic growing approaches. He showed farmers how to use animal manure and fallen leaves as natural fertilizers to create rich soil. Carver lived by the idea that "great soil produces great tasting produce."
