Who Was Dr. Fulton?
Dr. Alvenia Fulton (1893-1999) was a devoted Christian and an ordained AME preacher. After graduating from naturopathy school, Dr. Fulton continued reading to stay current in the field. When it came to studying herbs, she was a geek constantly reading and attending seminars and workshops. When she heard about somebody that was doing something that she wanted to learn, she’d take time out and go study with them. She did that in Egypt and Japan. She also traveled all over the United States and abroad giving talks about nutrition and fasting at conventions, universities, and churches. She spent so much time away from her native state of Tennessee that her southern accent had largely disappeared.
