Naturopath Dr. Alvenia Fulton at this to say about obesity, the compulsive eating of foods rich in sugar and fat is often a substitute for unresolved emotional sexual issues and or when one is in unhealthy personal or professional relationships. A lack of energy and mobility contributes to weight gain and as a result, withdrawal and insecurity that “leads to irritability or urge toward domination.” She goes onto say, when a person is able to exercise; a carefully prescribed juice fast can reduce signs of obesity. Fulton taught that fasting cleanses the body, affords a rest to digestive organs, regenerates and permits normalization of all physiological functions.
