We are looking at the medicinal uses of apple cider vinegar, which Dr. Alvenia Fulton’s mother understood. She used apple cider vinegar on the family farm in Pulaski, Tennessee as part of the natural prescriptions for illnesses she used as a health care provider for her family. For example, some folk medicine practitioners recommend applying undiluted apple cider vinegar with a cotton ball to irritated hemorrhoids. They say it can both reduce the swelling and associated pain. The instructions include repeating the process every couple of hours and delete with water if the vinegar burns. The application will relieve rectal itching as well.
