Have you ever seen yard that has a pear or apple tree that produce more fruit than a family can consume? Here are some suggestions: give the fruit to a nearby food pantry dedicated to getting food to those in need; purchase a juicer and improve your families diet; get a dehydrator and preserve the fruit; take a class on canning and turn the fruit into organic preserves; make pie filling out of it; cut it up and freeze it using it in smoothies. give the fruit to a neighbor who has a compost or start composting.
