Great doughnuts, turnovers, breads, and pastries make the Iowa presidential caucuses enjoyable for any would be candidate running for office. Located in the middle of the country, Iowa is an enclave of old-fashioned North American cookery with great baked goods and coffee. The State is famous for what is known as Dutch letters—a pastry filled with almond paste and covered in a delicious sticky glaze.
