Stanford Coach Danielle Spencer
Today show is a reboot of an interview with Rochester Native Danielle Spencer. Last month, Stanford University hired her away from Dartmouth as it new women’s lacrosse coach. Spencer had served as an Assistant coach at Stanford in 2012. Spencer had been at Dartmouth for three years. She earned Ivy League Coach of the Year in each of her final two seasons. This past season, Spencer guided Dartmouth to an Ivy League title and a NCAA post-season tournament appearance for the first time since 2013. She played collegiate lacrosse at Northwestern University where she earned All-American honors and three national championships.
